For fans of The Dictators, New York Dolls, MC5, and all things Punk Rock! Given that the first Dictators album was released in 1975, we owe a great deal to these warm-hearted pre-punk New Yorkers for paving a long road, blending essential elements of junk culture – wrestling, fast food, television, beer, drugs, cars, scandal sheets – with loud, hard, and fast rock'n'roll, thereby creating an archetype that has been adopted and adapted by countless other bands. Initially formed as a tribute to and in response to the MC5, Flamin' Groovies, New York Dolls, and The Stooges, The Dictators ultimately played an equally crucial and inspiring role for subsequent generations. Produced by the team of Sandy Pearlman and Murray Krugman, known for their work with Blue Öyster Cult, "Go Girl Crazy!" is a wickedly funny, brilliantly played, and desperately naive masterpiece of intelligent and spontaneous rock'n'roll, pre-indie-rock proof that ordinary kids could make a record on a major label. The Dictators are now back with original members Andy Shernoff and Ross "The Boss" Friedman, along with former Blue Öyster Cult drummer Albert Bouchard and Frankenstein 3000 guitarist-vocalist Keith Roth. They have already wowed their fans with new singles "Let's Put The Band Back Together" and "Thank You And Have A Nice Day" and are ready to continue their 50-year legacy as one of the greatest pre-punk bands of all time.
