Renowned electronic music producer and DJ Matias Aguayo presents his new multi-dimensional project. The Desdemonas is a rock band fronted by Matias Aguayo (who also plays multiple instruments). It's also the fictional story of a gang of teenagers in a dystopian world, a narrative developed in the song lyrics, as well as in comic books and videos based on Aguayo's drawings. Matias delves back into the dark rock forms that inspired him as a teenager, revisiting them in a resolutely contemporary, shadowy, lyrical, and venomous post-electronic style. Based in Berlin, Aguayo's band will perform in Paris on 20.10 at La Maroquinerie, and will continue touring throughout 2018. The band consists of Italian drummer Matteo Scrimali, German keyboardist Henning Specht, Colombian guitarist/bassist Gregorio Gomez, and Matias Aguayo on vocals, keyboards, etc. Born in Chile, Matias Aguayo grew up in Germany. A pioneer of electronic music since the early 2000s, he has generated a body of genre-bending productions (including several albums for the legendary German label Kompakt). Highly sought after as a DJ, he plays all over the world, in the most prestigious clubs and festivals. He also founded his own label, Cómeme (eat me, in Spanish), on which he releases his friends and associates' work.
