Is it still necessary to remind you: Derek is a 9-year-old prodigy guitarist who played with his uncle Butch Trucks, the drummer of the Allman Brothers Band. Derek Trucks formed his first band at 12 years old! Before turning 20, endowed with astonishing virtuosity, he has already jammed with several of his heroes, including Bob Dylan, John Lee Hooker, Buddy Guy... not to mention his memorable performances with Eric Clapton during the world tour in November 2006, an event still present in everyone's memory. After a non-stop tour around the world for 16 years, the Derek Trucks Band announces a well-deserved break starting in November 2010. Fans must therefore wait to see them on stage again. But doing things right, the band, completed by a brass section, delivers Roadsongs, which was recorded over 2 nights at Park West / Chicago in 2009. Among other things, it features a flowing version (14 min) inspired by the famous "Afro Blues" by John Coltrane and also the first live and official version of "Get Out My Life Woman" coupled with "Who Knows" by Jimi Hendrix.
