Harold Hutton’s “Lucky Boy” was originally released on Chess’ Checker sub-label. Issued in 1965, the original now fetches around €50. “Lucky Boy” was the B-side to his debut single, “It’s A Good Thing,” which launched him on a career that included regular appearances on SoulTrain in the 70s. The flip-side, from The Dells a year later, was originally on Cadet, another Chess offshoot that was originally called Argo.
