For Mixed Up, the remix compilation by The Cure, Robert Smith chose to remaster it himself. He enhanced the deluxe edition with a second CD of remixes made between 1982 and 1990 (a CD that has been out of print for a long time). Finally, he added a third CD of 16 new remixes created by him. The vinyl editions are Half Speed Mastering; this mastering is exclusively done for vinyl, with no use of digital compression in order to achieve the purest and most natural sound possible.
