Ten years after the release of their album Men's Needs, Women's Needs, Whatever (2007, Wichita), the British trio of the Jarman brothers enlisted the services of Steve Albini on some tracks of this new album, which evokes the raw diamond of their first effort (The Cribs, 2004, Wichita) but with more grunge edges this time. The raw sound and languid atmosphere are still perfectly counterbalanced by catchy pop rhetoric; their mastery of composing strong and striking choruses allows them to continue their ascent quietly and discreetly to the Olympus of the English pop scene.
