Ester Mae Smith, Angela Taylor, and Della Daniels form The Como Mamas trio, creating the best gospel music in the world. Hailing from Como, Mississippi, they are set to release their new album, *Move Upstairs*, via the excellent Daptone Records label (Charles Bradley, The Budos Band, and Sharon Jones). The Como Mamas are therefore from Como, a small town in the Mississippi Delta with a population of 1,300. Marked by two centuries of segregation and slavery, Como is a town that lives outside of time and struggles to survive with a completely anachronistic economic system. These lost territories often give rise to fabulous artistic projects. This is the case here with The Como Mamas trio. Founded in 2013, this group raises its game with each release. Their new album promises to be absolutely insane if the first single, "Move Upstairs," is any indication.
