The British band reissues its cult album 'Man With A Movie Camera' for its 20th anniversary!
It all began in 2001 when Jason Swinscoe, leader of The Cinematic Orchestra, was commissioned to compose the soundtrack for 'Man With A Movie Camera', a silent documentary directed in 1929 by Dziga Vertov in the USSR and considered by many to be one of the greatest films of all time.
The project's first screening in Porto ended with a standing ovation from over 3,500 people and led to the release of an album in 2003, as well as an international tour for the band, from the Barbican in London, to the Winter Garden in New York and the Sydney Opera House.
To mark the 20th anniversary of the original album's release, Ninja Tune presents an exclusive reissue on double-colored vinyl, accompanied by unreleased photos of the band. The Cinematic Orchestra will tour Europe this winter to celebrate the album's songs.
