Originally scheduled for release on June 24th Claddagh Records and the Owsley Stanley Foundation present 'The Foxhunt', a previously unreleased project by the Irish group The Chieftains. This live album is a true piece of music history and a groundbreaking innovation in live music recording. 'The Foxhunt' brings together recordings of The Chieftains at the Boarding House in San Francisco on October 1, 1973, and at the Great American Music Hall on May 5, 1976, by Owsley 'Bear' Stanley. This 2CD edition also includes bonuses, such as Paddy Moloney's last interview before his passing in 2021 and an introduction to Irish origins in Bluegrass music by Jerry Garcia.
