The band recorded 13 studio albums, three of which reached number one in England, alongside 22 hit singles, four of which made the top 10! The peaks of the rollercoaster were accompanied by crashing lows, one of which could have been less resilient: nervous breakdowns, near bankruptcy, and the death of two founding members. Somehow, they not only continued but adapted and transformed. The classic Charlatans sound — driven by a Hammond organ, Northern Soul and house-inspired rhythms, swaggering guitars, and Tim Burgess's sunny yet somehow yearning voice — is instantly recognizable. This limited edition box set is a diverse collection pressed on five transparent blue vinyl LPs, spanning their hits, classic live performances, unreleased demos, rarities, and remixes. The box set also contains an exclusive original demo featuring 'Indian Rope'/'The Only One I Know', as well as an early 90s tour poster, a booklet containing unpublished photographs and notes from journalist Dave Simpson. There will also be a triple vinyl LP and 2CD deluxe version of the box set containing the hit albums plus the live album, and finally a CD or vinyl of the hit albums. Their iconic and much-loved track "One To Another" (1997) provides the titles for the individual vinyl collection within the box set. Each vinyl record is named after a verse from the song.
