Initially a side project for Kim Deal, the legendary Pixies bassist, The Breeders eventually became a full-fledged band after the main group on the American alternative scene disbanded due to Frank Black's growing solo ambitions. Propelled worldwide by the catchy 'Cannonball,' their second album Last Splash became one of the best albums of the 90s and a global success. The quartet reunited on stage in 2013 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of this iconic album and had since retired to the studio together to work on new tracks for their fifth album.
