THE BESNARD LAKES Are The Roaring Night is a condensed work of dark, psychedelic pop, reminiscent in its orchestration of THE ALAN PARSONS PROJECT and ELO, undeniably supported by the ghosts of Dennis Wilson (more than Brian) from THE BEACH BOYS and Peter Green (more than Lindsay Buckingham) from FLEETWOOD MAC. The band experiments with a few new instruments: a 12-string guitar, flute, an omnichord, and a mellotron. This second album, dark and built around epic and unsettling guitar flourishes, evolves into a wall of infected drones and changing atmospheres.
