Pet Sounds, one of the most influential albums in pop music history, is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year. To mark the occasion, the 11th Beach Boys album is being released as a Super Deluxe Edition (4 CDs + 1 Blu-ray): Pet Sounds, 50th Anniversary. The 4 CDs contain the original album remastered in mono and stereo, alternate studio versions, a cappella mixes, and a selection of live tracks recorded between 1967 and 2012. The audio Blu-ray contains the album in mono, stereo, 5.1 Surround, and instrumental versions in 24/96 HD. Also available to celebrate this anniversary: a double CD Deluxe Edition and two separate vinyl records of the original album, one in mono, the other in stereo, pressed on 180-gram vinyl with reproduction of the vintage cover art and a download voucher.
