Sixteen years after their legendary album, Since I Left You, The Avalanches finally mark their return with the excellent new album titled Wildflower. Like its predecessor, Wildflower is a musical patchwork, a true initiatory journey featuring Moodog, The Cosmic Rays, Sun Ra, and Biz Markie. As a taster, the group unveiled "Frankie Sinatra," a carnival-esque track featuring Danny Brown, MF Doom, and calypso artists Wilmoth Houdini and Rodgers & Hammerstein. Wildflower is brimming with collaborations of all kinds, including Camp Lo, Jonathan Donahue (Mercury Rev), Toro y Moi, Jonti Danimals, Jennifer Herrema (Royal Trux), Warren Ellis (Dirty Three, The Bad Seeds), and Father John Misty. The band doesn't disappoint with this new opus—the perfect soundtrack for this summer!
