The new album, featuring James Dean Bradfield (Manic Street Preachers) and Sterling Campbell (David Bowie, Duran Duran) The Anchoress is the stage name of the multi-instrumentalist, singer, author, composer Welsh Catherine Anne Davies. "The Art Of Losing" is her second album following "Confessions of A Romance Novelist," also on Kscope / Snapper. Very much of MANIC STREET PREACHERS, whose singer James Dean Bradfield was invited as a feature on one track. "The Art Of Losing" is a progressive pop rock album that addresses the subject of losing loved ones. It was written and recorded while she was going through painful periods of mourning while finding comfort in a series of side projects: the album "In Memory of My Feelings" in collaboration with Bernard Butler, a duo with the Manic Street Preachers on "Resistance Is Futile" and joining Simple Minds, where she spent a large part of the last five years playing on the albums "Big Music" (2015) and "Walk Between Worlds" (2018).
