On does not come out unscathed from listening to the first album by Terrenoire, and the same goes for this sequel, composed of 7 unreleased tracks, titled "La Mort et La Lumière". At the helm of this project that is truly unlike any other, two brothers Raphaël and Théo Herrerias, who grew up in the working-class neighborhood of Terrenoire in the suburbs of Saint-Étienne. A duo that has never considered a life outside of music. However, due to the age difference, their collaboration really takes off when the younger brother joins the elder in Paris in 2017. The artistic meeting of these two temperaments gives birth to these sensitive and unconventional songs. If in their early days, the territories were well marked between the two young men - Raphaël handling the lyrics, the skeleton of the melodies, and the voice, while Théo enriched the compositions - the boundaries became more porous during the development of this fascinating Les Forces Contraires. Navigating with style between poetry and realism, between electronic and song, this first album speaks of love, of death, and always at the end of the tunnel of these passions and intimate dramas, the radiance of a largely positive solar energy.
