'Live in Berlin' is the new album by Teho Teardo and Blixa Bargeld, recorded live at Sonic Morgue in Berlin on December 6, 2022. The album, which contains the complete concert setlist, is a summary of their discography, including 'Still Smiling' (2013) and 'Nerissimo' (2016). The release of their third unreleased album, which will be followed by a European tour, is announced for autumn 2024. The concert at Sonic Morgue, opened by the song Nerissimo, was part of a series of European dates, culminating in the Berlin concert. A kind of return to their roots for the duo who have made the Rome/Berlin axis a membrane continuously traversed by sounds and words in Italian, German, and English. The reception everywhere for songs like Mi Scusi, even though sung in Italian, continues to be enthusiastic. A Quiet Life, originally written for the film "A Quiet Life" directed by Claudio Cupellini, has lost some of its connection to the film, as many now associate it with the final episode of Dark, the highly successful Netflix series. For many years, Teho and Blixa have played live with Laura Bisceglia on cello and bells, Gabriele Coen on bass clarinet, and, for the Berlin concert, the Oriel String Quartet, composed of Anna Eichholz and Kundri Schafer on violin, Robin Hong on viola, and Alice Dixon on cello.
