A five-piece band founded by ex-M83 Nicolas Fromageau. A mix of post-punk, shoegaze, and electro.
Team Ghost will release their debut album *Rituals* on March 18, 2013, via the new wSphere label. The album follows the release of
the single "Dead Film Star," which was released as an EP on December 3, 2012.
Team Ghost is a five-piece band founded by ex-M83 Nicolas Fromageau and Christophe Guérin. They
started as a duo and were later joined by French composer Benoit de Villeneuve in 2010, supported by a
powerful rhythm section with Pierre Blanc on bass and Félix Delacroix on drums.
Their 2010 EP, "You Did Anything Wrong To Me," released by Sonic Cathedral, was praised by Pitchfork. NME described their
combination of shoegaze, post-punk, and electro with the term "colgaze."
Paris seems to have greatly influenced the band musically. While *Rituals* has pop aspects, it is also a
nighttime journey into the most unsettling aspects the capital has to offer – an exploration of unhealthy obsessions, vices,
and digital dysfunctions amidst the faded splendors of majestic boulevards.
When they take the stage to present their intense world, the musicians derive immense pleasure from it and intend
to prolong and spread it as far as possible.
If *Rituals* achieves the success it deserves, the future will be deliciously dark for Team Ghost – that's where they feel at home.
