Tav Falco, an Arkansas native and iconic figure of avant-garde rock 'n' roll, is set to light up the holiday season with his first collection of Christmas classics, “A Tav Falco Christmas.” An essential figure on the international music scene since 1981, Falco has been described by the New York Times as “a singer, guitarist and seeker of musical mysteries who has never let his growing technical and idiomatic mastery interfere with the clarity of his vision.” In early July of last year, during a sweltering Memphis heatwave, Falco and his band of talented American and European musicians settled into Sam Phillips Recording Service studios. The band includes bassist Mike Watt, guitarist Mario Monterosso, and drummer Toby Dammit.
