Four years separate the release of *Stateless* and *We Will Be Wherever The Fires Are Lit*. In the interim, Bhutanese-born, US-based improvisation guitarist Tashi Dorji has rarely paused, playing and touring almost constantly, continuing to record solo and in collaboration with other artists. *We Will Be Wherever The Fires Are Lit* was recorded in one month on a Zoom recorder in a cabin behind Tashi’s house. His music, as always, is entirely improvised, using different guitar preparations—masking tape for muting and metal for buzzing. Different tunings and techniques, inspirations from all over. Tashi’s sound is uniquely his, but one can’t help but feel the sound of many nations, in all hemispheres, washing through these acoustic expressions.
