Heir to the famous taraf of the late Vasile Nasturica, this acoustic ensemble, both vocal and instrumental, brings together five lautari considered by experts to be among the last and best musicians in Bucharest in the traditional style. This renowned taraf in Romania regularly animates various celebrations and festivities (weddings, baptisms, funerals...) and was formed with the aim of rehabilitating and preserving the original muzica lautareasca. The House of World Cultures, very pleased to have hosted them for a unique and unprecedented concert in France, decided to extend this moment by producing this Live recording.
