The tracks "Twist In My Sobriety" and "Good Tradition" quickly became hits. With her new album Closer To The People, Tanita blends the influences of her live band - which has played with Van Morrison and John Martyn - and contemporary recording techniques, which give her music a dynamic and unique sound. "Food On My Table," the first single from the album, is a modern Soul track, supported by an evocative black and white video, in which Tanita tells a striking love story.
