Description

The abrasive return of Swervedriver, one of the founding bands of the 90s shoegaze movement! During their last 10 years of absence, their status as a legendary English alternative rock band has continued to assert itself. In 2005, a two-disc anthology was compiled, predicting a resurrection. The journey resumed in 2008: Swervedriver is finally critically acclaimed - praise they should have received ten years earlier. A fifth album, I Wasn't Born To Lose You, appeared in 2015 - 17 years after its predecessor, announcing the band's grand return. With Future Ruins, the band moves with the times, offering a new sound alongside their classic trademarks: pop songs without choruses, like in Mary Winter, curious arrangements and strange contrasts, like in this rock'n'roll piece Spiked Flower whose lyrics reference Echo & The Bunnymen.
