THE SWEET VANDALS are back! The Spanish quintet spent 2010 writing, composing, and recording their third and new album, So Clear, in their own studio. With this opus, they continue their journey into funk and further explore jazz, without forgetting the energy and passion that have characterized them since their debut and their eponymous first album in 2005, which they are now approaching once again. Because they grew up with soul, raw funk, and authentic grooves, they wouldn't trade their warm, organic sound for anything, choosing to record in live conditions, with few touch-ups and effects. THE SWEET VANDALS thus treat us to their analog signature, supported by the powerful voice of singer Mayka Edjole and highlighted by the addition – a new feature – of Fender Rhodes, violins, flutes, and brass. Ultimately, So Clear reveals 10 tracks and one instrumental piece with funk and jazz influences enhanced with soul. An unstoppable opus with perfect orchestration that the band will perform on stage this summer.
