Super Besse, the new post-punk/coldwave glacial wind from the East. They sing in Russian, come from Belarus, are signed to the Latvian label I Love You Records, and their name is the same as that of a station in the Massif Central. Formed in 2013, the trio Super Besse released their first album 63610* in 2015 and immediately became one of the most promising groups on the coldwave scene before forging a solid live reputation by touring Europe on a long tour including notable appearances at the Europavox and Repperbahn festivals. Telling tales of nocturnal adventures, the group recounts in their second album La Nuit* the feelings and beauty that can be observed when surrounded by deep darkness and seized by the melancholy that emanates from it. A post-punk jewel with a glacial coldwave heart, La Nuit* fascinates as the sound and melodies are cut and polished to evoke the hardness and coldness of a diamond. An inevitable consequence, this album places Super Besse in the wake of the greatest masters of the genre: Joy Division. For fans of: Joy Division, Bauhaus, Frustration, Rendez-Vous, etc.
