Sun Cutter's eponymous debut album is out on Bronzerat Records (Gemma Ray, Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, The Still). Sun Cutter (real name Kevin Pearce) hails from Colchester, Essex, England. Three years ago, at the age of 33, Kevin suffered a heart attack (on a golf course). In addition to needing to correct certain lifestyle habits, his rehabilitation involved writing and recording the Sun Cutter project. This is a folk-pop/indie-soul-rock album with catchy harmonies, which looks to the light for reflection. Love and protest emanate from his work, imbued with empathy. His tone and discourse sometimes reveal the influence of John Lennon, Tim Buckley, and Bob Dylan.
