Studio Electrophonique, the solo project of singer-songwriter James Leesley, is among the most original and captivating offerings on the current independent scene in Sheffield. Revealed by the sublime, critically acclaimed EPs "Buxton Palace Hotel" (2019) followed by "Happier Things" in 2022 released on Violette Records, Studio Electrophonique finally returns with a mesmerizing debut album that promises a dive into the intimate, warm, and slightly dreamlike universe of James Leesley. Recorded on a Tascam tape and produced by Simon Tong (The Verve, The Good, The Bad and The Queen, The Magnetic North), the album will be followed by a tour supporting The Divine Comedy throughout October in the United Kingdom. Invited by Étienne Daho, he had the honor of being his opening act at the Olympia in Paris.
