With Indigo, Stéphane Hoareau and Théo Girard deliver a vibrant vinyl album, born from an extraordinary human and artistic adventure. Stemming from the Discobole Capsules sessions, initiated by the two artists in the midst of the pandemic, Indigo brings together a fusion of compositions, born from the encounter of 40 musicians from diverse cultural and aesthetic backgrounds. From jazz to African rhythms, from Caribbean influences to contemporary traditions, the album offers a rich sound journey, subtly illustrated by Yannis Frier. Recorded in the creative urgency of intense sessions at Théâtre Durance and Studio H2, this project celebrates the freedom of co-creation. Each track reflects the identity of the artists while being rooted in a deeply vibrant collective dynamic. Indigo, like the Capsules that gave birth to it, goes beyond just music: interviews conducted by journalist Anne-Laure Lemancel and filmed recordings by Linda Arzouni extend the experience, revealing the strength of artistic connection, even in times of crisis. Through Indigo, Discobole reminds us that at the heart of uncertainty, collective creation remains an act of resistance and hope.
