Starcrawler is a quartet led by Arrow de Wilde, daughter of the illustrious American photographer and director Autumn de Wilde (Beck, Shakes, White Stripes, Jenny Lewis, Ryan Adams, Sonic Youth, Decemberists and many, many more) and Aaron de Beachwood Sparks (drummer for Father John Misty, Tobias Jesso Jr, and Ariel Pink, among others). Hailing from Los Angeles, the band formed when the singer met Henri Cash in high school. Soon after, the streets of Hollywood brought them the perfect rhythm section with Austin Smith on drums and Tim Franco on bass. Boisterous riffs and thunderous rhythms distilled during incendiary performances led by Arrow's supernatural magnetism, Starcrawler is nothing less than a youthful blend of The Cramps, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Alice Cooper, and the New York Dolls. All produced by Ryan Adams himself. The band's first single, 'Ants,' comes with the B-side 'Used to Know' and is pressed on blood-splattered white vinyl in a limited edition of only 500 copies.
