25 years after its original release, the 16th studio album by the pop provocateurs is fully remastered. Originally recorded in November 1994 after an unprecedented six-year hiatus, 'Gratuitous Sax & Senseless Violins' marked a return to the commercial success that had eluded the band for much of the 80s. Delivering some of their biggest chart hits in 15 years and the fan favorite single, "When Do I Get To Sing "My Way"," 'Gratuitous Sax & Senseless Violins' was reimagined with a sound and style so typical of Sparks' exceptionally extraordinary career. 'Gratuitous Sax & Senseless Violins' is being reissued for the first time as a deluxe edition to coincide with its 25th anniversary. Compiled, arranged, and designed by Ron and Russell Mael. All formats feature the remastered original album. The expanded editions include B-sides, live tracks, and remixes by Bernard Butler and Vince Clarke. The release also contains 12 unreleased demos and 5 unreleased tracks from the Christi Haydon EP, which had never been released before. Included are special liner notes by Ron and Russell Mael.
