Soul Jazz Records' new album Studio One Dub Fire Special brings together 18 mythical dub tracks, all recorded at 13 Brentford Road in the 1970s. This album showcases a splendid selection of classic and foundational dub tracks recorded at Studio One, featuring sounds from legendary local bands (The Sound Dimension, New Establishment, Soul Defenders, and Brentford All-stars) and with the participation of the most talented reggae musicians (Jackie Mitto, Leroy Sibbles, Cedric Brooks, Freddie MacGregor and many others). These new dub sounds come from the meticulous expertise of Clement 'Sir Coxsone' Dodd, Sylvan Morris, and Scientist. Studio One Dub Fire Special compiles the latest raw, deconstructed, and percussive harmony tracks from Studio One's "The University of Reggae" project.
