A new collection of rare punk and DIY 45s from the UK! Soul Jazz Records’ long-running, in-depth ‘Punk 45’ series is a high-quality reissue of early punk 45s. While only a handful of punk 45s were released in 1976, the next two years produced an avalanche of them. Aside from the few punk bands signed to major labels, most of these singles were either self-released private press 45s or on independent DIY labels. With limited distribution and media access, many of these sank without trace and were lost to history. This album features many of these independent punk 45s, golden nuggets lost to the sands of time! These are all one-off, super-rare releases from bands you’ve probably never heard of – totally hidden gems from the wastelands of early punk!
