Considered THE "Heavy Metal made in France" band of the 80s, SORTILÈGE is one of the rare groups that has succeeded in giving such an exciting new lease of life to its repertoire, while being decidedly forward-looking. What was perfectly clear live since its reformation around its emblematic singer Christian "Zouille" Augustin, was verified in 2023 with the album Apocalypso, and is confirmed even more today through the 10 tracks / anthems of this new effort: Le Poids de l'Âme, a title powerfully accentuating the meaning of the songs that compose it. Recently bereaved by the death of its guitarist Bruno Ramos, SORTILÈGE found the strength not to take a knee. With the reinforcement of Michaël Zurita in the role of new soloist, an indispensable complement to the rhythmic power of its other guitarist, main co-writer and producer, Olivier Spitzer, the band showed great resilience in carrying out the creation of this new album.
