Three unreleased tracks for Music In Exile! Driven by singles like "Al Hassidi Terei" or "Mali", the first album by SONGHOY BLUES, Music In Exile, proved the ability of the four Malians to blend traditional sounds with rock guitar lines, local music, and Western tones. With significant references, described as a "mix of Tinariwen and Ali Farka Touré," according to Aliou Touré, singer and leader of the group, SONGHOY BLUES returns with a Deluxe edition of their previous success, enhanced with three unreleased tracks. The two rock covers of The Clash ("Should I Stay Or Should I Go") and Led Zeppelin ("Kashmir") meet here with the classic "Soul Makossa" by Manu Dibango, once again wonderfully combining Tuareg syncopations, rock pulses, and Manding blues.
