SOM is an American modern shoegaze band, "heavy" but also melancholic and dreamy. Their compositions with rough riffs and airy vocal lines should appeal to all fans of Deftones, My Bloody Valentine and Slowdive, all the way to Tame Impala, Ride and Mercury Rev. Of note is the minimalist but incredibly effective production by Will Benoit, packed with emotional punch.
