SOHN TREMORS Fans of dubstep and other electronic music genres from the United Kingdom are already familiar with SOHN's polished compositions. He has also made a name for himself with remixes for Rhye and Disclosure, and productions for rising artists Banks and Kwabs. After releasing several EPs on the Aesop label, including the highly acclaimed "The Wheel," Sohn is now releasing his much-anticipated debut album, "Tremors," on the 4AD label. Born in London and now based in Vienna, Sohn is a true night owl. Everything was written, composed, and recorded in the late hours, hence the nocturnal atmosphere that emanates from and envelops this little gem. The elegant Sohn layers electronic textures and beats over his dark melodies, which are counterbalanced by his resplendent, soulful voice. The overall effect often creates a twilight ambiance, as heard on tracks like "Veto" and "Lessons." Comprising eleven tracks, including the essential "The Wheel" and "Bloodflows," this album should establish Sohn as one of the London-based producers and multi-instrumentalists to watch in the coming years. He is the creator of atmospheric and highly elegant music, oscillating between ambient, electro, and soul.
