In 2001, 'Du rire aux larmes', their first album, met with great success in the Parisian underground scene and sold over 200,000 copies, a success confirmed by the album 'Gravé dans la roche', which sold over 600,000 copies, was certified double platinum, and was heavily supported by Skyrock and NRJ. After three years away from the mainstream public, Sniper returned with a third album, which went platinum.
