GREG FELDWICK is 23 years old, comes from Bath, and makes noise as SLUGABED. His first releases were under the labels Stuff, Ramp, and then Planet Mu, and he is now with Ninja Tune, the mother ship. His music is imbued with a unique blend of humor, high-level production, dancefloor stabs, and melancholy. "Time Team" is his debut album and in our opinion, it is simply excellent. The album starts with New Worlds, an ode to traveling through vast spatial landscapes, followed by the single Sex, full of terribly suggestive sucking sounds. It then takes us deeper into the disembodied soul of All This Time, then Moonbeam Rider combines digital power with the funkiest groove possible. A masterful debut album blending genres with the dexterity of a Ninja master. When asked to explain "Time Team," FELDWICK responds that "it is about deep feelings provoked by inexpressible things." Quite a program then!
