Founded in 1994 in Olympia, Washington, Sleater-Kinney has been an iconic band on the US alternative punk-rock scene for almost thirty years.
Emerged from the riot grrrl feminist underground movement, the all-female band led by singer-guitarists Corin Tucker and Carrie Brownstein, reconnects with the abrasive edges and emotional depth of their classic ‘Dig Me Out’ (1997) on their new album titled *Little Rope*. Inspired by the sudden loss of Carrie Brownstein’s mother and stepfather and produced by John Congleton (St. Vincent, Sharon Van Etten), these ten tracks navigate between organic minimalism, cathartic anthems, and atmospheric moods in a resilient, liberating, and triumphant manifesto.
