With its irresistible beats, reinvented world rhythms, acoustic and electronic instruments, "COSMIC SERPENTS" is a poetic and explosive sound collage where electro chaabi, digital cumbia, dub, pop, Brazilian rasterinha, Creole maloya, footwork, and psychedelic rock blend together. This new album from the pan-tropical future bass group SKIP&DIE was written and recorded in Brazil, Egypt, Argentina, Colombia, South Africa, the Netherlands, and Réunion with the help of a handful of exciting guests, including the Réunionese group Lindigo, Cairo's Islam Chipsy, Brazilian DJ Gorki (from Bonde do Role), and Argentine Chancha Via Circuito. SKIP&DIE includes South African singer, lyricist, and visual artist Catarina Aimée Dahms aka Cata.Pirata, producer Jori Collignon on keyboards & FX, Gino Bombrini on percussion & guitar, and Daniel Rose on guitar and other string instruments.
