After the success of their first two albums, the neofolk collective SKÁLD presents us with Huldufólk. This third opus once again tells a story, that of the hidden peoples of Northern beliefs: On the edge of a road, in the middle of a forest, at the foot of the mountain, elves and trolls hide, discreetly cohabiting with humankind, blending into a wild and wonderful nature. Between Scandinavian legends and myths, the collective SKÁLD, initiated by producer and composer Christophe Voisin-Boisvinet, brings together several talented artists who give a prominent place to the poets and shamans of ancient times. To the sound of drums, we let ourselves be lulled by the hypnotic voices that allow us to escape into a fantasized "elsewhere," an elsewhere made of strange and fantastic creatures, wonderful landscapes, and mysteries. These tales that SKÁLD takes us on allow modern man to flee far from the harsh reality of daily life, like the first Icelandic settlers.
