Corrupt

Description

"This album was recorded in January 2026, but before February 28, 2026. Writing about it now proves more difficult than writing it itself. Many pages, many versions, and yet nothing feels right, except expressing what we personally feel. This album is about contradictions and paradoxes. They are at war. But we have been fighting the evil that is the Islamic Republic for decades, by all means. Now, we are suffering massive bombings, large bombs that their B2 bombers drop on us. We see some devastated by this war, and others singing while bombs fall on their neighborhoods. What led us to this situation? We are happy to learn that Khamenei has disappeared and joined the others in hell. This happiness is short-lived, as we remember that our people are being bombed at the same time. We/they attack each other by all possible means. Drugs, alcohol, razor blades, ropes, bullets, batons, bombs, sirens, rubble... We cherish life, even if they do not want to let us live it. It is only when we are together—under the influence of drugs, alcohol, or in full disconnection—that we feel alive. All these moments end with a kiss, a warm embrace, a deep sigh, and a glimmer of hope: maybe one day we will be free. We owe it to those who are no longer with us in the spring. Outside Iran, we eat like slobs. Addicted to our phones. News blaring on the TV. Articles open on our computers. We do everything to feel something. In Iran, we are shot in the streets. We are bombed. We see our bodies deteriorate day after day. No one cares about us, except us. There is nothing more to add. To all the lives lost and to the life that follows! Yours corruptly, Siyahkal"
