Maestro Corelli's violins
Description
Arcangelo Corelli (1653 - 1713) was the great master of the Italian violin of his time, a prolific composer and a highly sought-after teacher. This record features three of his main disciples, who in turn became masters of the instrument: Antonio Montanari (1676 - 1737), Giovanni Mossi (1680 - 1742), and Giuseppe Valentini (1681 - 1753). The riches of the Italian baroque continue to surprise us, and the interpretations on period instruments by Collegium Musicum 90, under the direction of violinist Simon Standage, are particularly successful. They highlight the shimmering sound of the era, the generous virtuosity, and a creativity of which Corelli, one can imagine, must have been proud.Buy Maestro Corelli's violins at the best price
