The Italian modernism

Description

This record allows us an interesting insight into the repertoire of 20th-century Italian music. We can hear the soloist Silvia Chiesa performing the "Concerto for Cello" by Casella (work from 1935), the "Adagio con Variazioni" by Respighi (from 1921) as well as the "Concerto for Cello" by Ildebrando Pizzetti (1934). These recordings of rather rare repertoires were made at the Auditorium Toscanini in Turin in January 2014.
