Silversun Pickups revient avec son sixième album studio, 'Physical Thrills', sorti le 19 août 2022 via le label New Machine Recordings du groupe. La suite 'Physical Thrills' de 'Widow's Weeds' de 2019 a été produite par Butch Vig (Nirvana, Garbage, Smashing Pumpkins, Green Day, Foo Fighters) et mixée par Billy Bush.'Physical Thrills' englobe un mélange éclectique de synthétiseurs déformés, de mélodies pop dansantes, de ballades épurées et d'une collection de morceaux "Dream Shanties", tous tissés ensemble dans un ensemblecohérent d'oeuvres. Conception artistique par Lawrence Azerrad (gagnant d'un Grammy pour 'The Voyager', Wilco).
