What if Shoefiti was one of the French indie scene's best-kept secrets? The programmers who gambled on the trio weren't wrong. Never quite garage, not entirely psychedelic or shoegaze, borrowing from noise without being fully noise, Shoefiti plays a resolutely indie rock, sometimes pop and controlled, sometimes abrasive and wild like an ice cream truck with its brakes removed. One of the last to bet on them was Edgard Garcia, programmer of the Zebrock stage at the Fête de L'Humanité. Clever as can be, the three companions deliver a sinuous, brutal yet supple rock, rough and sharp with great precision. A tour of clubs in Oregon allowed the band to hone their skills and fully unleash their creativity.
