In 2018, Diagonal Records released an intriguing 12" of dance track samples from Shit & Shine in a trusting world. The title track of this 12", 'You Were Very High', turned many heads and became a club curiosity, played by DJs around the world – and some critics hailed the 12" as "the best release from Shit & Shine." Strong words indeed, but can anyone really contest that? Speaking to Loud and Quiet in 2022 about this now-legendary release, Craig Clouse, the man behind Shit & Shine, stated: "Humor is totally crucial, sometimes I want to add immediately recognizable reference points because it's relevant, and just to bring a smile to people's faces." So now, in 2024, as the original 12" has become somewhat of a collector's item, changing hands for £60+ on Discogs – Shit and Shine and Rocket Recordings have decided that "You Were Really High" deserves a unique reissue. This extended version of the EP, housed in new artwork and limited to only 300 copies, also includes a powerful additional track titled "Dave, Have You Ever Been To London." A certified banger that is destined to explode in the darkest, dampest techno basements of Berlin.
