Islet, an isolated element within a different whole. For his new album, Sheldon, the emblematic rapper of the 75e Session collective, continues his introspective work on organic compositions, filled with the multiple references that build the artist's musical universe.Produced by Epektase and mixed by Sheldon himself at Studio Winslow, the project gives ample space to guitar and the rapper's 60/70s Rock influences like Bowie and the Beatles. It also features Soul, R&B, Lo-Fi, and Jazz influences, pushing the encounter of rap with other musical genres even further.The islet metaphor extends into the visual universe built around the album, where the central element is a monolith used as a representation of isolation and emptiness. Composed of four mirrored faces, this imposing artifact represents both the islet and the album's message: the central element is not the main subject, Sheldon, but rather what it tells us about the world around him.
