A MATTER OF TIME - ÉDITION LIMITÉE - VINYLE COULEUR BLANC

Description

Produced by Youth (Killing Joke), the tracks on this new album, which the band considers their most accomplished since "A Maximum High," break free from their constraints – perhaps stemming from lockdown – and culminate in a mature, autumnal atmosphere. Along the way, listeners will discover esteemed guests such as Peter Doherty of The Libertines, Rowetta of Happy Mondays, and Laura McClure of Reverend and the Makers, who joined in the album's creation to produce a new series of epic Shed Seven anthems. The album's power and maturity reflect the decades-long friendship shared by vocalist Witter, guitarist Paul Banks, and bassist Tom Gladwin. Shed Seven reconnects here with the influences of the classic albums that inspired them to form the band. This record shines with the unbridled exuberance and full-throttle rock 'n' roll attitude of a band making music for the sheer joy of expressing themselves and playing together. While the album expands Shed Seven's sonic palette a bit, it still features the grandiose anthems and nostalgic melancholy for which fans have come to love them. 2024 will mark 30 years since Shed Seven's debut album, "Change Giver," and "A Matter Of Time" demonstrates that the band is now at the peak of their artistry and that the journey is far from over. "I'm incredibly proud of this album because it's the one we always wanted to make but never had the opportunity to," says Banks. As Witter puts it, "after all this time, I think we've proven we're not one of those bands that comes and goes."
