Description

"Christmas Party" is the sixth album by the duo consisting of Zooey Deschanel and M. Ward and follows the wildly popular "A Very She And Him Christmas". Some guests appear on "Christmas Party" including Jenny Lewis, The Chapin Sisters, and Steve Shelley from Sonic Youth. In "Christmas Party" our favorite Christmas songs take center stage, such as classics by Darlene Love and Phil Spector with "Marshmallow World", or Bing Crosby with "Mele Kalikimaka", or even Chuck Berry with his "Run Run Rudolph". Ward and Deschanel also introduce some more obscure tracks like "Coldest Night of the Year" by Vashti Bunyon or the lesser-known "Christmas Memories" by Sinatra. To top it all off, the pop songs "All I Want for Christmas Is You" by Mariah Carey and "Christmas Don't Be Late" by The Chipmunks complete the tracklisting of "Christmas Party". Of course, we find the organic signature and minimalist production of She & Him throughout the album.
